Victoria became the first Australian state to pass legislation allowing Voluntary Assisted Dying on 29 November 2017.   As independent witnesses in the State of Victoria you will from time to time be requested to witness the execution of the forms required by the Victorian VAD legislation.   The process does not mandate the type of witness required, but as you know, the public often rely on those they trust for these sorts of things. This module has been developed to assisted those who may be asked to be a independent witness on what is expected of them as part of the process.
