This remote witnessing training module is provided as a general overview on what remote witnessing is about and what is necessary to be able to authorise documents in a remote setting for Honorary Justices. It is provided as a summary of the understanding and steps required to provide remote witnessing services using the system and procedures set up by the Royal Victorian Association of Honorary Justices (RVAHJ). The information is based on the guidelines provided by the Department of Justice and Community Safety and Honorary Justice Service Support with reference to the Omnibus Regulations 2020 and Amendment Legislation 2021.
