This professional development module is called Sensitivity, Sex and Eggshells and it looks at the foundational elements of what needs to be considered as a Justices of the Peace (JP) when providing volunteer witnessing and signing services to the community. JPs need to be aware of and cover all sorts of things like various cultures and religions, people with languages other than English, people with disabilities. In addition, they need to be aware of prejudices in the community and be also sensitive to the LGBTQI community and as well as very other area of the community.
This short module takes the JP through each of these areas and walks through what should be considered whilst providing their services in their community. Being prepared will provide a professional service to those who are in need to the best of our ability and reflect positively on the community of JPs.
